Margaret J. Palucha

worked for MetLife

Margaret J. (Kelly) Palucha, 65, of Youngs Avenue, West Warwick, a former employee for MetLife, died September 25, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Thomas P. Palucha. Margaret loved life, her family and her friends. She never let the fact that she was a dialysis patient and that she was waiting for a kidney transplant hold her back; she didn’t like to be made to feel special because of this, she would say, “I am fine don’t baby me.” Her strength and determination was amazing. She loved to laugh, she enjoyed her crafts, especially all the wonderful raffle baskets she would make for the West Warwick Elks Lodge #1697 functions and for St. Joseph’s Church Bazaar. She was involved with so many activities at St. Joseph’s school even after her daughter graduated, especially making all the costumes for the 8th grade play each year. Her laughter, smile and loving ways will be missed by all, especially her special friend, her shitzu dog, Roxy. She was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Josephine I. (Scott) Kelly; beloved mother of Jennifer R. Palucha; beloved sister of Frances M. Hensley; beloved aunt of Deana M. Farley and Joseph E. Hensley; and beloved sister-in-law of Marcia Doherty; and beloved goddaughter of Joseph A. Scott. She also leaves numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, along with many friends who will dearly miss her. Her funeral will be held Sept. 29 at 8:30 a.m. from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, Providence St., Natick, at 9:30. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Contributions to the Kidney Foundation at RI Hospital, 593 Eddy St., Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated. For guestbook visit www.thequinnfuneralhome.com.
