A record 25 teams have registered to participate in the MS Jet Pull this Saturday and pull a 146,000-pound FedEx jet across the tarmac at T.F. Green Airport, all to benefit Rhode Islanders with multiple sclerosis.

The pull will be held rain or shine.

For the 3rd Annual MS Jet Pull, a team will consist of 20 friends, co-workers or family members doing their best to raise money for the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Last year’s MS Jet Pull raised nearly $34,000 and featured 15 motivated teams vying for a range of prizes.

The MS Jet Pull will be Saturday with registration at 9 a.m. and the first pull attempt at 10. One of the most unique events in New England, the MS Jet Pull offers fun for the entire family. Entrance fee includes cost of delicious BBQ and activities. Adults cost $10 each, children ages 4-12 are $5 each and children 3 and under are free. For details, visit www.msjetpull.com.

MS stops people from moving. The National MS Society exists to make sure it doesn’t. It helps each person address the challenges of living with MS through a 50-state network of chapters. The Society is dedicated to achieving a world free of MS. Join the movement at www.nationalmssociety.org, or contact the Rhode Island Chapter of the MS Society at 205 Hallene Road, Suite 209, Warwick 02886, 401-738-8383.
