Centreville Bank is inaugurating a partnership with radio station WWKX (Hot 106) and Neighborhood Health Plan to help needy Rhode Islanders stay warm this winter. The goal of Warm Hands, Warm Hearts is to gather new hats, gloves and mittens for distribution to needy adults and especially children.

Centreville Bank branches in Coventry, Cranston, East Greenwich, West Greenwich, West Warwick and Wickford will have bins available to collect items for Warm Hands, Warm Hearts now until Dec. 16. Raymond J. Bolster II, president and CEO of Centreville Bank encourages community members to donate whatever they can at the branch nearest to them.

“At Centreville Bank, we’re mindful that the winter can pose real challenges for needy Rhode Islanders, especially when it comes to staying warm,” he said. “The Warm Hands, Warm Hearts program is an excellent compliment to heating assistance programs and I urge everyone to do as much as they can for this great cause.”

Donated items will be distributed by Neighborhood Health Plan to the 27 community health centers located in Rhode Island. Over the past few years, nearly 3,000 pairs of mittens and gloves have been donated. HOT 106 will be promoting the four-week drive on-air.
