Deadline approaches for Cox Scholarship
“Through these scholarships, we hope to continue our role in helping young people to reach their fullest potential. From education scholarships to supplying courtesy Internet service in schools, Cox is committed to supporting the education and development of our youth,” said Paul Cronin, senior vice president and general manager at Cox Communications New England.
High school seniors interested in applying for a Cox Scholarship can obtain an application from their guidance office or by visiting the Web site at ww2.cox.com/myconnection/rhodeisland/community/editorial2.cox.
Completed applications must be received by March 5. A selection committee composed of community and business leaders will review all applications. Eight students from Rhode Island will be selected to each receive a $2,000 scholarship.
Since 1994, Cox has awarded nearly $400,000 in scholarships to deserving high school students in Rhode Island and Connecticut.
