Rhode Island Events presents the 36th Annual Apple Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21 and Sunday Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Johnston Memorial Park, 1583 Hartford Ave., Johnston. This event, as always, is free and open to the public.
With vendors coming in from all over New England there will be plenty of opportunities to shop early for all of your holiday needs while supporting small businesses.
There will be great activities for the kids including pony rides and a petting zoo hosted by McKay Family Farm. Face painting, bounce slides and playgrounds will also be there to entertain the kids. There will be performances by local dance studios, martial arts studios and the Southern New England Witch Dancers.
For food this year there is plenty to choose from. There will be sausage and peppers, homemade chips with all the toppings, chili dogs, mini donut treats, homemade ice cream, frozen lemonade, tacos and of course apple pies and apple cider donuts from Appleland.
The Apple Festival will be a great way to enjoy a family fun day.
