Greenwood ghouls celebrate 25th Halloween parade

Posted

The Greenwood Halloween Parade is the place to be on October 31. That was the obvious conclusion as an estimated 400 adults and kids admired each others’ costumes, renewed acquaintances, did some campaigning (the candidates we spotted weren’t wearing masks), ate pizza, drank hot chocolate and watched some dancing performed by Distinctive Dance Etc students. But could there be so many Greenwood residents? The answer is that the Greenwood Parade started 25 years ago has gained widespread recognition, becoming more than a neighborhood attraction. Ken and Diana Boldizar dressed as Julius Cesar and Cleopatra drove two hours from Connecticut to join the event. Neither have relatives or friends in Rhode Island and having learned of the parade from social media decided to check it out. They weren’t disappointed.

Halloween, parade
