There was a time when you knew your barber like you knew your brother – and you shared your life story with him, just as though he was your brother.  It seems as though those days are long gone now in a world of franchised salons where different stylists are on hand every time.

But for customers of David’s Greenwood Barbershop in Warwick, that neighborhood feeling of familiarity and comfort still exists, and is partly why they return time and time again ~ generation after generation.

This is certainly true of second-generation customer Glen Motta whose father Ernest sat long ago in the very same swivel chair as Glen does today.  And now Glen’s two sons Brady (age 15) and Cooper (age 17) are regulars at this nostalgic barber shop on Post Road ~ the tradition continues!    

David’s Greenwood Barbershop is a family-run business that knows the value of its loyal customers and the value of a business that marked its 30th year of cutting and styling men and boys’ hair in 2023. Dave Picozzi, the barbershop’s owner, and his son Geno are the kind of guys you want to sit down and shoot the breeze with. You really become members of a special extended family here.

David’s Greenwood Barbershop has been an steadfast presence on the Warwick landscape for a long time, right where it has always been located at 2879 Post Road on the stretch of road before the roundabout at Gorton Pond.

Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursdays are 11:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturdays, from 8:00am to 11:00am. Remember, you will only find Dave here in the mornings! Men and boys (ten years and older) are welcome.
