Louise C. Hannon, 87, of Warwick, peacefully passed away on June 2 at the Hope Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert E. Hannon.

Born in West Warwick, the only child of Joseph A. and Flora (Vadeboncoeur) Peltier, she lived in Warwick for 44 years, previously in Providence. She was a summer resident of Roy Carpenter’s Beach for 56 years where she enjoyed long beach days with her loving family. 

She worked as the head cook for Child Inc. Head Start program for many years. Louise was one of the founding members of the Cranston Panthers Girls Hockey team. 

Mrs. Hannon leaves six children; Ellen L. McVey (Thomas)of Charlestown, Mark E. Hannon (Robyn) of Warwick, Mary Beth Haskins (Daniel) of Minnesota, John J. Hannon (Jo-Anne) of Warwick, Kristin M. Sheridan of Cranston, and Michaela L. Curran (Edward) of Cranston. Louise was the proud grandmother to Joslyn, Patrick, Bobby, Derek, Matt, Devon, Joe, Kelsey, Ryan, Haley, Ellie, Tommy, and Carly. Great grandmother to Kellan, Henry, Rogan, Maeve, Juliette, Brayden, Jaxson, Julian, Kamden, Daniel Dean, Otto, Ford, Banks, Lucy, and Summer. 

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 8:45 a.m. from the Jones, Walton, Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St., Cranston, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Paul’s Church, 1 St. Paul Place, Cranston. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, from 4-7 PM. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, RI.
