John August Zieglmeier, 56, died on January 17, 2022, at his home.  He was the loving husband to Patty Graham for almost 20 years.  Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, John was the son of Barbara Shaw and August Zieglmeier. He was blessed with three children: Brittini Zieglmeier, Brandon Zieglmeier, and he was the adopted father of Vicky Luckina. John was like a father to Richard Hoyt and the beloved uncle to Chrissy Franko, Steven J. "Pork Chop" and Brandy Hoyt Johnson and all the Eichhotz children. He will be missed by his grandchildren: Nevaeh, Elijah, Mason, and Madison. He was the brother to Jackie, Jill, Donna, Julie, Debbie, the late Cindy and Todd. John leaves his sister-in-law Victoria Humphfreys and her husband, Jay; his brother-in-law William Graham; and mother-in-law, Patricia M. Graham. John was also the grandson of the late Victoria Melone. John spent over thirty-five years on the west coast of Florida and worked as a block Mason, a craft he learned from father. He always had a positive outlook which helped him through his six-year battle with cancer. John's wife, Patty, would like to give special thanks to John Ruggieri who became like a brother to him and the Lima family for their support and love.  Patty would also like to thank Ocean State Pyrotechnics who gave John a purpose to continue his health battle and to all the nurses, doctors and staff of Comprehensive Cancer Center of Rhode Island Hospital with special thanks to Dr. Ariel Birnbaum. John had a wonderful love for all his family and friends in his life including his four-legged companions, dogs Benny and Freddie; and cat Vlamir; and his turtle, Timmy. A celebration of John's life is slated for April 13, 2022, with location and time to be confirmed.  For online guestbook, please visit:  OlsonParent.com.
