Mary Ann Carroll, age 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was the cherished daughter of the late James J. and Mary E. (Conley) Carroll. Mary Ann was born and raised in the Buttonwoods section of Warwick, where she lived for most of her life, before moving to Sparrow’s Point.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Prout High School, Class of 1971, and Providence College, Class of 1975. She was employed by Saint Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich, and the Sargent Rehabilitation Center in Warwick, where she cared for the elderly for many years. Mary Ann was a Communicant of Ss. Rose & Clement Parish where she served as Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed attending the Pilgrim Senior Center frequently. Mary Ann had a great sense of humor, a friendly personality, and was very proud of her Irish Catholic heritage. She is survived by her longtime friend Donald Crepeau.
Services were held December 27, 2022 from followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Ss. Rose & Clement Church. Her burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Pilgrim Senior Center, 27 Pilgrim Pkwy., Warwick, RI 02888.
