Mary Catherine Gibbons, 64, of Warwick, RI, went to her eternal resting place on November 23, 2021. Mary was a spirited, redheaded Irish beauty with beautiful green eyes. Throughout her early years, Mary’s passion was helping young teen boys work through tough adolescent times, working in different group homes, making sure she provided a stable and loving home for them to find their way. Through this work, Mary changed the lives of many, however, one, in particular, changed her life as well and continued to be part of her life until the day she passed. Mary thought of him as one of her closest friends. She was a tremendous support for many people around her. Mary had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. She loved her family and friends with all her heart! Mary was a wonderful sister to her six siblings and an amazing aunt to her many nieces and nephews; if you were to ask her, Mary would have told you she was “the favorite Aunt!” She loved music and attending concerts; going to as many as she could, dragging you along with her. Spending time with Mary was always an adventure filled with great laughs. Most of all, Mary had a deep passion and love for Christ. Her Christian family was just as important to her as her biological family. Mary was not afraid to pass over; she knew her family in Heaven would greet her and welcome her home. We will miss her laugh, fiery red hair, adventure for life, and most of all, her determination. Rest in peace, sweet Mary. We love you. Her funeral will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a funeral service at 11am in the Living Faith Christian Church, 11 Clifford Street, Warwick.
