Mary F. Smith RN, 84, died Friday, July 22, 2022. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Margaret (Finn) Smith. Mary was a Registered Nurse for 40 years at RI Hospital and retired as Head Nurse of the Stroke Unit which she ran for 20 years. She was an avid bridge player and wintered in Ft. Myers, FL. She is survived by her sister-in-laws, Mary K. Smith and Sharon Smith. She also leaves her beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend, Peggy McGuirl. She is predeceased by her siblings, Edward J. Smith Jr., Kevin W. Smith, Judith A. Hodges and Joyia J. Smith. Her funeral will be private at the request of the family.
