Joyce M. (Brown) McGee, 87, of Beechcrest Street, Warwick, passed away after a long illness with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Kent Regency in Warwick. For 68 years, she was the beloved wife and best friend to John B. McGee. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Robert I. and Adeline (DiNuccio) Brown.
Joyce worked as a legal secretary for multiple firms in the Providence area for many years before retiring from the State of Rhode Island. There, she worked for various divisions of the MHRH for over 20 years.
An avid lover of the ocean and beach, Joyce enjoyed boating, horseback riding and playing the piano in her spare time.
As well as her husband, she is survived by her daughter and her partner, Diane M. Mancini and Todd P. Hyam of Coventry and her grandson, Brendon Mancini and his wife Thae Su Hlaing of Erie, CO. She was the sister of the late Harriett Brown.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, with a Funeral service to follow at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be private for the family.
