Thomas E. O'Donnell, 72, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Rosemary (McAloon) O'Donnell, with whom he shared 39 cherished years of marriage. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (McKenna) O’Donnell.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Thomas earned his Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Rhode Island before continuing on to receive his Master of Business Administration from Johnson & Wales University. Thomas built a fulfilling and adventurous career, spending many years traveling across the country and the globe as an Oil Field Well Service Operator. Known for his tireless work ethic, he later applied his experience to a series of impactful roles as an Operations Manager and Contractor on large-scale projects throughout New England and the Baltimore area.
Beyond his professional achievements, Thomas was an avid reader and a natural caretaker. He was always the first to lend a hand, offering his time, skills, and heart to friends, neighbors, and family alike. His craftsmanship and generosity can be found in the homes and hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his two sons, Matthew O’Donnell and his wife Erin, and Peter O’Donnell and his wife Sabrina; brothers, Robert ‘Bob’ O’Donnell and James ‘Jim’ O’Donnell; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Faith, Noah, Oisín, Anna, and Riley O’Donnell. He was the brother of the late John O’Donnell.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 9:00AM, from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Warwick. Burial to immediately follow will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives & friends are invited to join his Visitation in the Funeral Home on Friday, from 4:00-7:00PM.
