Ann Roberta (Mercurio) Peasley, of Warwick, cherished mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at the age of 83. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Peasley, Sr., with whom she shared sixty-four wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Providence on October 9, 1941, Ann was the daughter of the late Albert and Assunta “Susie” Marie (Rocchio) Mercurio.
Ann retired as the Office Manager of Wickford Junction in 2014. She was a woman of great love, kindness, and strength — a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Ann touched countless lives through her thoughtful words and generous actions. Family, friends, and neighbors alike often found comfort and joy stopping by her home for coffee and conversation, where she had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved.
She is survived by her beloved children: Kim M. Conroy (Buddy) of Brooklyn, CT; Kurt W. Peasley (Tracy) of South Kingstown, RI; and her daughter-in-law, Kelly Peasley, of Plainfield, CT. Ann was predeceased by her son, Robert C. Peasley, Jr. Her legacy lives on through her adored grandchildren: Devon Conroy, Mitch Conroy, Kohl Peasley, Brooke Peasley, Olivia Peasley, Christopher Peasley, and Connor Peasley.
Ann was also preceded in death by her siblings, Albert A. Mercurio and Rachel M. Mercurio.
A Committal Service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 11:30AM at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Administration Building by 11:15AM.
