Proposed Substantial Amendment to the City of Warwick’s CDBG Annual Action Plan for Program Year 2021

Notice is hereby given that the City of Warwick proposes to amend its Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan for Program Year 2021 (Fiscal Year 2021/2022).

In accordance with the Consolidate Plan requirements at 24CFR91.505(a) and the City’s Citizens Participation Plan, the Office of Housing & Community Development (“OHCD”)  is publishing notice of its intent to substantially amend its Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan for Program Year 2021 (Fiscal year 2021/2022) in order to provide opportunity for public comment.

Summary of Proposed Changes are as Follows:

Westbay Community Action, Inc. – Home Repair Program
Revised Project Cost: $70,000.00
Original Project Cost: $35,000.00

Reason for Amendment: Due to the current demand from low/moderate income property owners, Westbay Community Action has expended all originally allocated funds and has begun a waiting list for assistance.  The Office of Housing & Community Development acknowledges the need for such a Program and its positive impact on those in need.

Written comments will be received for thirty (30) days from the publication of this notice.  Comments must be received by the City of Warwick, Rhode Island at the following address on or before January 18, 2022:  Office of Housing & Community Development, 3275 Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, 02886, Attention:  William R.
