Gregory P. Rameaka, 69, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late J. George and Alberta M. (Anderson) Rameaka.
Gregory was a devoted father to Damien C. Rameaka and his wife Crystal; and Emily J. Freitas and her husband Brian. He was the loving grandfather of Alexis Rameaka, Damien Rameaka Jr., Kaden Rameaka, Abigail Freitas and Wyatt-James Freitas.
He is survived by Diane K. Plante, James Rameaka, Jr, and his wife Monique and Susan V. Fish. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Carol Beausoleil and Constance Rameaka and his brother John Rameaka.
Gregory was a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School, Bryant University and New England Law School.
A distinguished attorney and tax accountant for over 40 years he devoted his career to serving his clients with integrity compassion and an unwavering commitment to the law. He was also the former owner of Automotive Engineering Specialties of Warwick.
Gregory had a lifelong athletic and adventurous spirit. He lived close to the earth and enjoyed hiking, biking and kayaking often accompanied by his faithful dogs.
His life will be celebrated on Friday, May 2, 2025, at a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Paul Church, 1 St. Paul Place, Cranston. He will be laid to rest in Pawtuxet Memorial Cemetery, Warwick. Arrangements have been made by The Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 4-7pm.
