Raymond Ernest Gallucci, Sr., 88, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Warwick Police Chief Joseph E. Gallucci and Angelina (Angiolilli) Gallucci. He was the loving husband of Carol A. (Lancellotta) Gallucci. They were married for sixty-four years. Raymond was the brother of the late Warwick City Councilman Joseph E. Gallucci, Jr.
Raymond graduated from Lockwood High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from Bryant College in 1957. Afterwards, he proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard, completing his service Honorably Discharged as a 2nd Lieutenant. Raymond went on to work as the Sales Manager in the State of Maine for Narragansett Brewing Company. After moving back to Rhode Island, he became the Vice President of Lancellotta Paving Company Inc., specializing in asphalt paving and sealcoating. He became President of Raymond E. Gallucci, Inc. in 1990. In addition, he plowed snow for forty-seven years.
Raymond was active for many years in the City of Warwick and State of Rhode Island Democratic politics. He served as a Warwick City Councilman in Ward 8 for eight years from 2004-2012 where he was Chairman of the Finance Committee.
Raymond was involved in many organizations including the East Natick Veterans Association, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7, Warwick Democratic City Committee, President of the Lockwood Condo Association, Vice Chairman of the Warwick Sewer Authority, Member of the Aurora Civic Association, and past President of the Wethersfield Commons Condo Association. Raymond was a member for many years of St. Catherine’s Church in Apponaug where he served on the Parish Council and was later a member of St. Gregory the Great Church in Warwick.
Raymond is survived by his beloved children, Raymond E. Gallucci, Jr. (Deborah) of Warwick, Cynthia A. Gallucci of Warwick, and Robert W. Gallucci (Melanie) of Coventry, his six grandchildren, Raymond III, Matthew (Lakin), Robert Jr. (Emma), Natalie (Zachary), Isabella, and Sophia, and his four great-grandchildren, Skylar, Reagan, Matthew Jr., and Maddox.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:30AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 noon at St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in West Warwick. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
