To the Editor,
I'm Anthony DeLuca and I'm running for State Senate (District 29). I first want to acknowledge my appreciation for Leader McCaffrey's 20 years of service and commitment to our community, Senate District 29 and our state. He represented this district honorably and legislated with the interests of all Rhode Islanders.
Unfortunately, my opponent has partnered with several PACs and far left progressive groups that support defunding the police, increasing taxes on local businesses, limiting our access to energy, and many other policies that would lead to unsafe streets, higher taxes, and a higher cost of living for our seniors and middle class. As a Rhode Islander and a father, I'm committed to making Rhode Island a state in which my children will have access to good schools and good jobs.
As I go door to door to meet with voters, they appreciate the fact that my roots in Warwick run deep. I've lived here my whole life and worked in local businesses like Salk’s Hardware and Marine, The Islander, and Quinn’s Funeral Home. I recognize these businesses provide resources, services, and good jobs in our community. As a former EMT/ First Responder I realize the importance of keeping our Police and Fire Departments funded for the health and safety of our citizens. And as a proud member of my union in the Warwick Water Department, I know how essential government services are to our residents. I’m proud to have the endorsement of my Union RI Council 94 AFSCME.
I'm running for state senate because I'm concerned about the future of our district and our state. I'm committed to improving the quality and cost of living in our state and I hope to have your support this November when you cast your ballot for Senate District 29.
Anthony Deluca
Candidate for Senate District 29
