The Pilgrim boys basketball team is looking to get back in the win column after dropping a 74-56 decision to Tolman on Monday, which was the team’s third straight loss.
Dylan Vale led Pilgrim with 20 points and Carter Clifton added 12. Cole Bigelli also reached double figures with 11.
Coventry 59, Toll Gate 58
The Oakers edged Toll Gate on Tuesday night in a Division II showdown. Jack Colvin led the Titans with 15 points while Brayden Healey added 14 in the loss.
Hendricken 53, Mt. Pleasant 41
A trio of Hawks reached double figures in the win and the team was led by Matt D’Ambra with 18 points while Will Mascena and James Caldarella each chipped in 13.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
North Providence 49, Toll Gate 44
The Titans were edged by the Cougars on Tuesday night. Adeline Areson led the way with 18 points while Mary McNulty added 16.
North Providence 46, Pilgrim 32
The Pats are still grinding in Division III as they try to keep their playoff hopes alive. Jenna Madden led the team with 13 points in its loss to the Cougars last week.
GIRLS TRACK
Pilgrim’s Keaney Bayha put on a show at the RIIL Class Championships, taking first in the 600, 1,000 and 1,500 meter runs.
