Sincere apologies to anyone who felt demeaned that I had drawn a boy saluting with the wrong arm in a Memorial Day cartoon published last week. It was not my intention to disrespect anyone who served to protect our freedoms. The source photo I used as a reference was reversed evidently and I’m ashamed to say I didn’t notice. I hope all the fine men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military can forgive this artist’s lack of attention. -Charlie Hall.
