Sept. 19 – Bocce Ball Tournament: The Johnston Senior Center will host the Johnston Senior Collaboration Committee annual Bocce Ball Tournament on Friday, Sept. 19. The event begins with registration at 10:30 a.m. at the Citizens Bank Johnston campus. Registration fee is $40 per team.

Sept. 20 – Concert in the Valley: Moosup Valley’s biggest concert/fundraiser of the year will be held at Moosup Valley Congregational Church, 81 Moosup Valley Rd., noon-5 p.m. A suggested donation of $20 includes food. For more info or to be a vendor, contact Laurie @401-623-0320. All proceeds benefit The Moosup Valley Congregational Church.

Sept. 20 & Sept. 27 – Community Sculpture Creation: The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council is inviting Johnston residents to take part in helping create ceramic charms for three new RainKeep sculptures. Join for one or both sessions on Saturdays, Sept. 20 & 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Goldsmith Street and the Woonasquatucket River Greenway, Johnston.

Oct. 2 – Savor the Flavors fundraising event: Indulge in Savor the Flavors of Rhode Island, held at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston, on Thursday, Oct. 2 from 6-9 p.m. This fun-filled evening includes delicious samples from more than 40 local vendors and an exciting auction featuring signature items – all while supporting the athletes of Special Olympics Rhode Island. Oct. 2 – Woodland Manor Fall Craft Bazaar: Woodland Manor Bing holds its Fall Craft Bazaar at 20 Woodland Drive, Coventry (behind Ocean State Credit Union). Saturday, October 4, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 20+ Vendors! Lunch served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Raffles. For more info. Call Helen at 401-470-4587.

Oct. 4 – Toll Gate High School 50th reunion, Class of 1975: Join your classmates for the 50th reunion of the Toll Gate Class of 1975 at the Quonset 'O' Club, 200 Lt.
