The City of Warwick Distributes At-Home Covid Testing Kits To Targeted Groups

The City of Warwick will begin distributing 27,900 Covid-19 testing kits to residents starting Thursday, January 20th

Per FEMA guidelines the targeted groups include: senior citizens, those with underlying health conditions, Warwick Public Schools, Warwick Housing Authority, a women’s shelter, and the Warwick Fire Department for use on rescue calls.

School administration officials and housing authority officials will distribute test kits to the community.

Warwick residents over the age of 55 or those with underlying health conditions are eligible to get a test at the Warwick Public Library located at 600 Sandy Lane from 9am-8pm Monday through Wednesday, 9am-5pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 1pm-5pm on Sunday. They also can obtain a test at the Pilgrim Senior Center located at 27 Pilgrim Parkway 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday.

We ask residents to only acquire a test kit if they have symptoms or have been exposed to COVID. Instructions to use the self-test are included with each box, which contains two tests.

The federal government is also providing test kits by mail. You can order four, free at home tests at https://special.usps.com/testkits
