William Cameron, 78, passed away on September 16, 2025, in Warwick, Rhode Island. Born on March 9, 1947, in Somerville, Massachusetts, William lived a life marked by dedication to his craft, deep family connections, and a passion for the thrill of the racetrack.

A graduate of Pilgrim High School, William began his professional journey as an apprentice with Boliva Watch. His early work laid the foundation for a long and fulfilling career that culminated in his retirement from Herff Jones. Among his many accomplishments there, he took particular pride in crafting Super Bowl rings—an endeavor that combined precision craftsmanship with a touch of sports history.

William’s love for racing was more than a pastime—it was a defining part of who he was. He immersed himself in the world of race cars, serving as crew chief and dedicating countless hours to late model and mini modifieds. Whether at the track or under the hood, he found joy and purpose in every aspect of racing.

Beyond the roar of engines and the gleam of championship rings, William enjoyed life’s quieter pleasures. He loved playing cards with friends and family, taking long scenic drives just for the joy of it, and cooking meals that brought people together. These simple joys reflected his warm spirit and appreciation for life’s everyday moments.

William was married to his first wife, Judith G. Cameron, for 48 years until her passing—a testament to their enduring bond. In recent years, he found companionship again and shared one year of marriage with his second wife, Judith Benetti.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Wendy E. LaBanca and his son Scott W. Cameron. He also leaves behind his twin brother Robert Cameron, sister Sandra Plumley, grandson Peter LaBanca and 2 great grandchildren Isabel and Cameron.

May William’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting tribute to a life well lived—full of heart, horsepower, and craftsmanship.
