I find it ironic that the politicians who who caused this mess get off scott free and our citizens are at each others throats. The sewer issue is a disaster because no one really paid much attention until it was a crisis. That is the same with the schools, pensions, you name it. It is time for people to pay attention to their local government. That is where your tax dollars go. The schools eat up more and more each year. With sewers, its literally money down the drain. If the people running the sewer authority for the past 30 years (present leadership excluded) were not political hacks collecting a pay check, we wouldn't be in this problem. No one cared much when it only cost 3-4 thousand for sewers. Now it can cost 8-10 thousand for a small lot and up to 30,000 for someone with a large frontage.

Like most things in this state, political hacks make our lives miserable both in the short and long term. Wake up people. Wake up. Don't fight one another, go after the hacks. More importantly, pay attention.
