I could not agree with your assessment more. The chiefs are increasing while the real work horses behind the scenes are losing their jobs left and right. Like you I have been within the CNE organization for 20+ years and have seen how our small community hospitals have been turned into nothing more than number cruncher's. We are no longer able to hold the hand of a sick, confused patient because time is money. It turns my stomach to see what this monopolistic environment is turning us into, we work more, fight harder for rights, and get punished for loyalty and individuality.
