ThatGuyInRI, would you mind citing your source/sources that "most people in the workforce receive a 1% annual raise"? I was curious about your assertion and haven't been able to find ANY source that gives that figure or substantiates your claim. Were you referring to collge-educated employees or seasonal teenage lifeguards? Every source I researched estimated an approximate 3% raise for the past four fiscal years. Computer technology, accounting and finance jobs were even greater. Upwards of 5.5% or more. Here are some of the sources and a direct link:

That being said, I agree consolidation is necessary. However, the thoughtful execution of the consolidation is critical. From most perspectives, in my opinion, it doesn't seem to be on track for success. I hope I'm wrong.
