Oakland Beach is an undiscovered jewel. We should promote it to attract tourists from Woonsocket to Warwick. Tourists become home buyers who pay taxes, increasing the number of taxpayers reducing the need to raise taxes for the rest of us. We should charge a parking fee that is half the state beaches and reinvest 100% of the money into making this Oakland Beach "jewel" more and more attractive. The money received would pay for the beach clean-up as well as the advertising without costing the taxpayer a dime. This is a win-win for tax payers and the City and I don't think Iggy's, or Top-of-the-Bay will complain either.
