It is painful to see Mayor Avedisian taking this "photo-op" when Warwick taxpayers have paid over a BILLION dollars since 2009 and today we have

1. Teachers without a contract

2. Students without Chromebooks

3. Buildings that are literally falling down and

4. a Mayor who cares so little that he doesn't attend any School Committee meetings, hasn't done a thing to encourage contract talks, and openly admits that he has a "hands off" policy. I call that an "I don't care" policy and as Mayor I intend to replace it with my own "I care" policy. The teachers are holding the high ground in this one. They are willing to negotiate. The School Committee isn't. In the Court of Public Opinion the verdict is "Judgement: Teachers!

As Mayor I will assist as much as the law, and the Warwick Teachers Union will allow. Count on it.

I am having a fundraiser on August 8th at Lemongrass at 1138 Post Rd. from 5 to 8 PM.

Please join me. Until then visit my website at www.correntemayorwarwick.com
