Report Inappropriate Comments

President Bush stated in a July 12, 2007 White House news conference that setting a deadline to remove all troops from Iraq is a mistake. A president should never tell the enemy what their war plans are. Military leaders in the battle zone should determine when it is safe to remove all troops. It is well known that military leaders in the field favored keeping a large force in Iraq and having a no fly zone in Syria. This is not conjecture. This was Republican war policy in 2007.
