Dear Jamie,
Your courageous letter to the School Committee (SC) speaks for all teachers, staff, students and families, and please let me add "the 80,000 taxpayers that are paying the tab".
We have a problem with repairs/renovations that should have been made years ago and never were, even though the taxpayers gave the SC the money for it. The bigger problem is why. What did the SC do with OVER A BILLION DOLLARS since 2009? And why, dear God, WHY should we give them $85,000,000 MORE??!! I am calling for an independent audit to determine that and I have said "Don't give the SC a dime until we know where the money is going". I believe the present City Council will make them more accountable.
As for those who say "Brick doesn't burn"...well...sorry Jamie, I just erased what I honestly think we should do with them.
