State Rep and House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello has passed legislation that:

Reduced corporate tax rates to the lowest in the Northeast.

Reduced estate taxes by raising the exemption.

Eliminated income taxes on Social Security benefits.

Eliminated sales taxes on business utility bills. and

Reduced the minimum corporate tax!

And now:

He's reducing and ultimately eliminating Rhode Island car taxes.

I campaigned against the car tax for years and testified against this unfair tax several times in Warwick as well as several times at the State House. Although I will take credit for my "2% inspiration", Mattiello deserves the "98% perspiration" for the hundreds of hours of painful work that obviously went into creating this landmark legislation.

We are fortunate to have him "Cut taxes - Cut spending" in the State House, an idea whose time has come here in Warwick.
