This hearing was a total sham. Many good people took time to come in on a work day to speak out against this outrageous money-grab at the expense of Rhode Island ratepayers. The panel of PUC regulators sat with their backs turned to the room while the people testified.

After hours of heart-wrenching testimony, the panel voted to raise our rates. At least 2 members of the PUC were appointed by Governor Gina Raimondo. No state reps or senators from Warwick showed up to the hearing. Why would they? They voted to scoop (rob) millions of dollars from accounts we have been forced to pay into for years (like renewable energy) to finance the $300 Million in NEW SPENDING in the 2017 State Budget. The General Assembly created this problem, so the regulators (political appointees) will fix it. How do we fix things in Rhode Island? We raise the rates, fees, taxes and tolls on the people accordingly. The know-a-guy crew will always make sure they aren't affected.

There is a better option, you just have to vote.
