It's very possible the construction going on during the school day is uncovering dangerous airborne substances which does cause illness. Has anyone walked around inside of that building, beyond the front door and gym, lately? Where the construction is taking place there is clear evidence of water damage, rain leaking from the ceiling onto exposed wires, dust and debris everywhere. It's just a matter of time before the mold, asbestos, dust and other unknown airborne substances that are uncovered will affect the inhabitants, including the young chidren in the building.
