The shamelessness of the fake "mayor" continues...

"If we had a Home Rule Charter, we taxpayers, represented by our Mayor and our City Council would have the power to demand answers to questions that we can't even ask the SC about today."

First, Warwick is one of two Rhode Island communities with Legislative Charters, which are identical to Home Rule Charters in all but name: https://www.warwickri.gov/city-council-legislative-department/pages/warwick-city-charter

Second, the restriction on city government from dictating school spending is a state law that can not be superseded by local ordinance.

Third, communities are required under a separate law, maintenance of effort, to provide the same amount of money to schools every year -- another law that the fake "mayor's" imagination will not change.

I thank the other commenters who see through the shameless fake "mayor's ignorant statements and support change through legitimate, legal means.
