SALT (State and Local Tax) Tax Deduction was taken away but the married standard deduction is double to 24,000. So the average person/family wont be impacted. If you need to itemize your property taxes because you can "only" take a 24k standard deduction, then you're doing well enough and have a nice enough home to afford your share of municipal taxes.

As to the tax property increases, yes those creep up each year as the city costs go up, but I hardly expect "exponential" property tax hikes in Warwick.

Meanwhile, if we expect to keep the prosperity we have, then we need to properly educate every next generation that comes along. And we've deferred maintenance for so long that now, that bill has come due. I'm all for any funds that can come from the state toward that.

Just look at states that truly underfund their public schools for examples of how bad it can get. Those places often show the effects of a generally under-educated society, and it is not pretty.
