Reality, for someone with that username, you sure spend a lot of time inventing stories, like my reasons for commenting [or not]. The fact is, I have no argument with Thecaptain and believe him on the issues with the fire department.
To answer what your point seems to be, I think the actual mayor is doing a good job and will do a much better job than the fake "mayor" claims he would do. 26,000+ other voters who elected him in 2016 think so, too.
If you have proof for your claims that the city's financial condition is "horrendous," go ahead and post it. Otherwise you're just engaging in the same kind of city-bashing that the fake "mayor" wrongly believes will help him in his latest soon-to-fail campaign.
