Thank you Captain for explaining the real compensation numbers and showing how Avedisian has been able to hide the real costs of the unsustainable benefits he has given away.

Let me also stand corrected and agree with Crickee that it not only is Avedisian responsible for these terrible contracts. The former chief of staff at the time was a total failure in trying to get concessions from the unions. I can still recall during the many budget hearing his ranting on how he and the mayor were working to eliminate automate COLA payment to retired employees and impose co-pays on their healthcare. Well none of that was accomplished and today automatic COLA and free lifetime healthcare with $600 caps on prescription drug are costing taxpayers millions of dollars a year.

The man talked a good talk but never delivered on his promises. Total failure.
