I agree with Motown2020. I also feel that a majority of voters agree with his/her overall point. Most people want our public employees held accountable. However, they do not want those employees (especially our fire department) being followed in and out of stores. I'm not sure why its neccesary to document what is being purchased. I've heard those on the WFD say that it is important to keep the equipment (trucks) running, and not just when there is a call. Unless they're making 5-10 store runs a day/night I don't see a problem with it. You know who else doesn't? The public as this issue has been raised before.

This gets back to my previous comment. Rob asked me if "tone is the most important thing?" Its not. Although, if you're trying to get the public on your side...you may want to listen to them when they say that WFD taking trips to the store is a non issue. Most members of the public enjoy interacting with the members of the WFD. They're always professional and cordial to anyone that says hello or has a conversation with them. You said it yourself that this was not about job performance and the reason is even you know that our department is the best in the state. Perhaps then, you should be approaching this debate with a little more respect for guys that do risk their lives for ALL of us. Not just the ones they agree with.

Rob, I applaud the work you've done on the car tax. I appreciate your continued work to expose the fake, lying, pandering idiot Corrente. I also appreciate you obtaining MANY documents with the idea of trying to expose waste. I would just caution you to be mindful of your approach. If I were advising you (and I'm certainly not you'd probably fire me by now) I would recommend not following the WFD around to the store, I'd also say no taking sarcastic swipes at people on Dan Yorke, no telling the WFD to "get ready for a haircut". Those things make it very easy for others to point a finger and say "this guy has an agenda". The public is never going to back someone they feel like they can't get behind. That is the harsh reality. You might not like my opinion but its constructive towards you improving your approach. You may disagree but thats why we debate here in the comments section.
