In an effort to educate you...FFs work 48 hrs per 8 days (4 on 4 off). Weekly pay is based on 42 hrs per 7 pay period. And the FSLA deals with thresholds for calculating OT payments. It certainly doesn’t give an employer carte blanche to unilaterally increase work hours by 25% without addressing pay scales through collective bargaining.
