Report Inappropriate Comments

With $24 left in his campaign account, after 4 years of running its clear Rick Corrente sees the writing on the wall, he will lose the Democratic Primary on Sept 12th. Likely, very convincingly. His erratic comments are coming in at lightning speed now as he realizes what most of us knew months ago...for him, its over!

Imagine accusing the School Committee of blackmail? It doesn't get anymore reckless than that. I disagree with the school committee plenty. I do not however, accuse them of crimes just because I have a political/philosophical difference of opinion. That is not leadership and that type of pandering, specifically to one side is beneath the office of Mayor. Not only that, shame on this City Council who are "shocked, just shocked" at the behavior of the School Committee. Give me a break! If the City Council wants the school committee to be responsible with the money of taxpayers, perhaps the Council should take their own advice as well. Litigating the issue in the newspaper doesn't serve students, it doesn't serve taxpayers and it doesn't serve honest teachers in the system who have been victims of poor leadership. Its about time our public servants, and even unelected know nothings like Rick Corrente tone down the rhetoric. It is serving nothing but their own political agenda and it is disgusting and should stop immediately. The Council are the last folks on Earth who should be "Throwing Stones".
