Dear John,

You are being a bit too hard on yourself. I have witnessed you volunteer your time and effort far and above the requirement of a journalist. And I have seen you do it time and again. You had to report the elections, true, but no one said you had to sponsor and organize countless numbers of debates over many years, that simply would not have happened without your endless effort.

Warwick is blessed to have you John. You are the very definition of the word "giving".
