Report Inappropriate Comments

I had Mr. Dolce as a guidance counselor at Pilgrim. I didn't think very highly of him. He was arrogant and sometimes too harsh with students. I once saw a girl come back to her locker crying because he told her she was too stupid to get into college. I never forgot that. I'm sure there are people who feel the same way and people who had good experiences with him. I did not. That being said, everyone has the right to due process and any complaints or concerns about reappointing him should have been brought up at a public meeting. I have a feeling these parents mentioned something in passing, maybe an "off the cuff" remark that Bachus and Cobden used to fulfill an old grudge. But that wasn't the correct to way handle it. If that's not the case and there are legitimate concerns, then parents should come forward and make a formal complaint. In any case, I hope the taxpayers of Warwick will do a little more research on the candidates next election.
