I disagree that the issue is that. While the population is around the same, we have HALF the students we once had. At 19k per child, just imagine trying to pay for double the students. I also see a LOT of businesses in Warwick, especially compared to some outlying bedroom communities (who interestingly have more or less comparable tax rates).

We are spending too much, and have deferred maintenance on the schools, roads, and now, apparently, the water system as well.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few years.
