Let’s see here, FD union wins arbitration ruling over the city unilaterally changing pension provisions . Now the mayor expects the union to pay for the city's mistake? If the union had not pushed the issue of the city not bargaining in good faith on this, then what would be next? Hours?wages?vacation time?People see the $$ amounts but there much more to it than the 2.whatever million that now needs to be put in the pension fund. Also don’t confuse the mayors words of saying there was an agreement between himself and the executive board . That’s not the way it works . I believe the only agreement from the union side was to bring it back to the rank and file to vote on. They should change the name from Warwick to Spin City.
