"Kicking off the promotional ceremony, Solomon administered the oath of office to McMichael followed by the oath collectively to the firefighters."

Based on this quote from Mr Howell, who was present, I believe this was a public event, no matter if the union paid for it. The public was not allowed to attend swearing in of the chief of the Dept. Neither he, or the Mayor, are WFD Union members and I believe they should not have held this event where OATHES were administered. Will have to file an open meeting violation, because taxpayer monies were spent when CITY EMA RV was brought to the event as well as ENGINES. 3, 9, Yellow loaned fire engine. Ladder 3, WFD black unmarked vehicles, and no doubt the New Chiefs vehicle and Mayors cars. All owned by the taxpayers.

Both Mayor and WFD Chief were left messages about this event being public or private, and cost to taxpayers on Monday and Wednesday last week before event. Still haven't returned the calls to answer the questions. Still waiting for them to respond to my public records requests for documents surrounding these promotions, and this event.

TAXPAYERS STAND BY.
