Congratulations to all the hard working students. Behind each one of them is a teacher that is working equally as hard, but that teacher doesn't know if he or she will be employed tomorrow. They have been working without a contract for way too long, and when certain members of the School Committee state that the teachers are "not putting in the effort" it makes you wonder why we have such fantastic results as in the above article. It's time the teachers got a contract. They have waited long enough and the School Committee isn't even trying. The teachers are willing to sit and negotiate but the School Committee is NOT. In the Court of Public Opinion, the School Committee has already lost. Every day that goes by makes it worse for them, not better. I'm with the teachers on this one. They are showing good faith. The School Committee? Not.

Please join the teachers. Show them your support. Call the member of the School Committee that you know the best and encourage them to sit and negotiate with the teachers.

    Thanks!

    Enjoy your Summer.

    Richard Corrente

    Endorsed Democrat for Mayor
