Two of my boys are paperboys for the Warwick Beacon, and one of the boys has a route up and down Church Avenue (and the side streets) and I am overwhelmed at the generosity and thoughtfulness of his customers!
This is the third year in a row his customers not only gave him a regular tip but a Christmas tip. Some have given him cards, candy and iTunes gift cards. He has a collection of Christmas cards taped up on his bedroom door from his customers, and that means the world to him. My other son, who is still new to his route and doesn't have as many customers, hasn't had the same experience, but I love that my older son shares with him and tells him someday he will get there.
I just want to say thank you, Warwick, for making my boys feel appreciated for their hard work, especially since their uncool mom doesn't drive them and makes them walk with all their heavy papers…well, unless it’s raining or the sidewalks aren't clear of snow.
Thanks again, and thanks for remembering the "little people.”
