Edgar L. Ladouceur, 88, of Warwick passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Cecile T. (Boulay) Ladouceur for 66 years.

Born in Cumberland, he was one of eight children born to the late Wilfred and Roseanna (Degree) Ladouceur. A self-employed contractor, Mr. Ladouceur was the owner and operator of Celete Building Specialties and Hi Tech Windows and served as Vice President of Stormtite Co. until his retirement in 2008. He also served in The United States Army during World War II. He was a charter member of the Smithfield Elks and enjoyed boating, camping and gardening.

He was the loving father of Councilman Edgar N. Ladouceur and his, wife Deborah of Warwick, Donald P. Ladouceur and his wife, Mary of Coventry and the late Richard N. Ladouceur. Cherished grandfather of Julie L. Murphy and her husband, Phillip, Brian E. Ladouceur, Jeanne Ladouceur, Sheila McGloughlin and Richard Ladouceur; and great-grandfather of four.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
