Internationally-acclaimed pianist Geoffrey Burleson will give a solo recital at the Warwick Public Library Sunday, Oct.18, at 2 p.m. Enjoy the works of Ravel, Persichetti and Debussy, including Ravels Jeux deau, Persichettis Sonata No. 9 and Debussys Suite Pour le Piano.
Burleson has performed throughout Europe and North America. The New York Times has hailed his solo performances as “vibrant” and “compelling.” The Boston Globe has called him a “remarkable pianist” and “a first-class instrumental presence” whose performances are “outright thrilling.”
He is principal pianist with the Boston Musica Viva and the Tribeca New Music Festival. He teaches piano at Princeton University and is Associate Professor of Music and Director of Piano Studies at Hunter College of The City University of New York.
